Agentura.Ru Studies and Research Centre / ASRC / is a Russian non-profit non-government organization providing research, analysis and commentaries covering security and terrorism issues. Founded in 2005 Centre is a research department of Agentura.Ru project (www.agentura.ru) - internet-community of journalists who wrote about intelligence and security services. Centre experts are journalists, former security and intelligence agents, lawyers, human rights activists.

Centre is forming the “Information Highway” based on results of research activity of our partners - Research centers. Now ASRC has a deal with six Research Centers:

• Conflict studies research centre - / CSRC / The Centre is part of the Defense Academy of the United Kingdom.
• National Anticriminal and Antiterrorist Foundation, part of The World Anticriminal and Antiterrorist Forum (WAAF). Based in Russia.
• Centre of antiterrorism programs / CAP / based in Kazakhstan
• Federation of American scientists / FAS /, Project on Government Secrecy. Based in USA
• Center for defense information / CDI / based in USA.
• Institute for Defense and Strategic Studies / IDSS / in Singapore.
• European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center (ESISC) in Brussels.

Timeline

10 June of 2005 director of ASRC Andrei Soldatov has presented the lecture “Organized crime in Russia. How to struggle in favor of legality?” for Fondazione internazionale Lelio Basso per il diritto e la liberazione dei popoli  in Rome

In September of 2005 ASRC has published the report “Terrorism prevention in Russia: one year after Beslan”. English version of this report was republished in:
